Tribal operations provides a wide variety of technical assistance, on-site and off, intended to assist tribal governments in becoming more self-sufficient and better able to enhance the social and economic condition of their people.

Assistance may be supplied by the Tribal Operations staff directly through workshops, funding for specialized training, or the hire of special consultants.

Technical assistance needs are determined by the tribal councils, their staff or village residents. Technical assistance provided may cover government operations, community project/development plans, and grants.
