Self Governance
Tribal operations provides a wide variety of technical assistance, on-site and off, intended to assist tribal governments in becoming more self-sufficient and better able to enhance the social and economic condition of their people.
Community Services
Committed to achieving clean, healthy, safe and sustainable Aleut communities.
Human Services
To promote self-sufficiency and independence of Unangan through education, training and technical assistance, and to respond to and assist in meeting health, safety, child care and well-being needs of each Unangan community member.
Healthcare
The Health Department operates health clinics in a number of the
Aleut communities. The clinics are staffed by Community Health Aides,
Community Health Practitioners and mid-level certified health care
providers.
Cultural
Heritage
The Cultural Heritage Department's mission is to provide programs
that encourage Aleut culture and language to flourish.
Administration
The Association is governed by a 13-member Board of Directors, each
representing one of the 13 constituent communities' tribal organizations.
The Board establishes overall policy and direction for A/PIA and
has appointed Dimitri Philemonof as President/CEO to administer
the day-to-day activities of the Association.
